Remedial Teaching at DBPASN

(Nurturing Every Child’s Potential)

At Dr. B. P. Agrawal Shiksha Niketan (DBPASN), we firmly believe that every child has the potential to succeed—provided they receive the right support at the right time. To bridge learning gaps and strengthen academic foundations, the school runs a comprehensive Remedial Teaching Programme from Classes I to X.

Student Identification

Students are identified for remedial support on the basis of:

  • Teachers’ recommendations
  • Assessment outcomes
  • Consistent academic performance

Once identified, they are guided through structured sessions that focus on building core skills in:

  • Mathematics
  • Hindi (reading & writing)
  • English (reading, writing & communication skills)
Key Features of the Programme

Dedicated Remedial Period A special 9th period of about 30 minutes is allotted daily in the timetable exclusively for remedial classes.

Flexible Support Beyond Routine In addition to the fixed slot, students needing extra help are provided remedial teaching during certain music, dance, or sports periods, ensuring that individual needs are addressed without burdening the child with after-school stay backs.

Individualized & Subject-Specific Approach Students are sent to different subject teachers as per their requirement, ensuring focused attention and targeted learning interventions.

Motivation-Driven Model Children are encouraged with the assurance that as soon as they meet the expected learning benchmarks, they will be able to fully participate in co-curricular classes—keeping them motivated to learn faster and better.

Continuous Monitoring Attendance, progress, and performance in remedial classes are tracked closely by subject teachers and reported periodically to parents for collaborative support.

👉 A detailed remedial timetable is prepared every academic year and shared with parents and students for clarity and smooth implementation.

  • Build confidence
  • Remove fear of subjects
  • Develop essential study skills
