School Transport Rules & Guidelines
(For Students & Parents – As per CBSE Safety Guidelines)
General Rules
- Transport facility is optional and provided subject to availability of seats on existing routes.
- Routes and stops are decided by the school; frequent requests for new stops may not be entertained.
- Students must carry their Transport ID/Pass daily while availing the facility.
Discipline on Bus/Van
- Students should reach the pick-up point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
- Queue discipline to be maintained while boarding and de-boarding.
- Running to or from the vehicle is prohibited.
- Shouting, fighting, throwing objects, or disturbing the driver/attendant is strictly forbidden.
- Students must remain seated properly during travel and should not extend hands, heads, or any objects outside the window.
- Respectful behaviour with bus staff is mandatory.
Safety Measures
- Each vehicle will have an attendant, first-aid box, and fire extinguisher as per CBSE norms.
- GPS and CCTV monitoring may be provided on certain routes for enhanced safety.
- For Classes Nursery–II, children will be handed over only to authorized guardians with Escort Cards.
- Students must not carry sharp objects, crackers, or inflammable materials inside the bus/van.
Emergency Protocol
- In case of accident, breakdown, or emergency, parents will be immediately informed and alternative arrangements will be made.
- Parents should ensure the school has updated contact details for quick communication.
Fees & Discontinuation
- Transport fee is to be paid as per the school schedule.
- One month’s prior written notice is required for discontinuation. Fee for the notice period month is payable.
- The school reserves the right to withdraw transport facility in case of disciplinary violations or non-payment of fees.
Responsibilities of Parents
- Parents must ensure punctuality at pick-up and drop points.
- Any change of address or contact number must be informed to the school immediately.
- Parents must not engage unauthorized vehicles for their ward’s commute.
- Parents should cooperate with school staff for safe boarding and alighting of students.
Lost & Found
- Students should take care of their belongings.
- The school will not be responsible for any loss of personal items in the vehicle.
Weather / Strikes / Unforeseen Closures
- Transport facility will not operate if the school remains closed due to weather conditions, strikes, or emergency orders from authorities.
School’s Liability
- The school will take all possible safety measures, but parents remain primarily responsible after the student is dropped at the designated point.
- Delays due to traffic, weather, or breakdowns cannot be attributed to the school.
